JUXTAPOSE - Virtual Fashion Show

My first virtual fashion show as part of the graduating Fashion Business & Creative Arts class at John Casablancas Institute (JCI).

Photograph of a male model on a fashion runway wearing a gold sequin bralette, black mesh top, layered black leather skirts with gold studs, black fishnet socks, and black sparkly loafers holding a black leather gold chained purse.

Team

Video Production: Bowery Creative

Photographer: Maria Fe Velasquez for John Casablancas Institute

JCI Fashion Director: Maneli Nourbakhsh

JCI Fashion Show Instructor: Joan de Raucourt

JCI PR Instructor: Garth Jackson

MY FIRST FASHION SHOW: JUXTAPOSE - #FAD168 Grad Show.

Here are the 4 looks that I styled for it showcased by John Casablancas Institute in support of Covenant House BC - a charity dedicated to helping at-risk and homeless youth across BC.

The theme explored gender norms in fashion, starting with traditional, then androgynous, and ending with opposite gender norms.

My outfits were part of the finale, featuring delightfully colourful eye candies with gold and sparkly things 🍭✨💖.

There were also 2 other grad shows: Epoch, which explored brutalism, and the closing show featuring designs from the core fashion students.

Many of the pieces in my looks were secondhand items.

Shoutout to @grandcentralnw, to my Mom's awesome closet ✌️ & #thriftstores, my favorite places to go treasure hunting 💛.

Aside from styling, I was also one third of the Location Scouts. We were in charged of finding scenic locations for filming the backdrop slides while the models walked the runway.
